Peter Kropotkin

Peter Kropotkin (1842–1921), was a Russian prince who became a revolutionary anarchist. In works like The Conquest of Bread and Mutual Aid he argued against the idea that competition drives evolution, instead emphasizing cooperation as a key force in both nature and society.

Kropotkin envisioned a world of decentralized, self-managed communities where resources are shared according to need and production is organized collectively. His utopia was practical and grounded: a network of communes combining agriculture and industry, eliminating poverty and hierarchy through voluntary cooperation.
